The aim of this article is to lean towards a better understanding of the link between diversity and innovation. For this purpose, this paper mobilises a systematic approach which permit the identification of all the pertinent articles on this subject. Descriptive and analytical results provide a detailed cartography regarding the impact of diversity on innovation. In that respect, a research agenda constituted by a series of 13 proposals is recommended to advance knowledge in this research domain. Accordingly, this synthesis of the current knowledge can be advantageous both for the scientific community and the practitioners.
